A Day with Auckland Live

On Tuesday 19th of September we visited Auckland Live for our immersion. Our immersion topic is creativity . We went to the Bruce Mason Theater at Takapuna. On that day we went with LC4 and LC2. We split up Amy's taglist to go with either Jess's or Nicole's taglist . We learnt what people do backstage of a performance and performed a  drama piece of witches. We also learnt about the lighting and the sound effects on stage. After we did that rotation we had our morning tea. Then we went and looked at sound effects but it was made on the spot by someone. Of course after we had lunch. We went to look at a dance piece and played follow the leader, the leader being a person or a robot. We started balancing on things like balls, platforms and chairs, that was our warm down activity. That day was absolutley  awesome.

Immersion with Liv Signage

For Liv's immersion we did signage around HPPS and HPSS. The last time we met we did word cloud and we roamed around HPPS and looking for places we can put some signage. The highlight of this immersion is when we went to the highschool  and look at what they placed on their wall and the signage. The challenge for me was trying to find a website to make our word cloud. I wouldn't really want to do this for my project but it was still fun.

Immersion with Jono 3D printing

Immersion with Jono is very enjoyable. We are trying to design a playground using different shapes and sizes. I am considering on making this my project. One of my highlights are printing  our playground and making it. One of my challenges are learning how to use the tools and where to find them.

Maths

For this block of maths we are doing multiplication and division. I am in the stage 8+ group. We are doing powers and a task called seventh heaven. We have to research the number 7 in different cultures, the number 7 in religious, the number 7 around the world and anything else we have learnt about the number 7. Next we had to work out what was 777^7. I did this by doing 777^3 then 777^4 and multiplied that together and got 170,980,716,079,866,232,953. After that we needed to do some practise  work on mathsbuddy . Our tasks were powers/exponents and a pre-test on multiplying and dividing decimals.
